The Technical Product Marketing Manager at D2iQ is responsible for successfully bringing our products to market. This includes defining our offerings and the positioning/messaging to help these offerings be commercially successful. Additionally, product marketing is responsible for field enablement, and working with the broader marketing team to ensure the successful execution of marketing campaigns. As a representative of D2iQ, you will engage directly with customers, analysts, press, and partners. Working at a small, fast-paced company, you’ll have the opportunity to have a tremendous impact on our business.
Be an Individual contributor and key member of our marketing team, reporting directly to the CMO
Build and maintain a strong collaborative partnership with product management, engineering, sales, marketing, and other functions across the business
Drive product marketing direction and the go-to-market strategy
Responsible for planning, creating, and implementing the overall product marketing strategy
Position the product before it launches (or releases new functionality) and work closely with the product team throughout the development process
Work with customers and partners to understand their needs and illustrate product capabilities and value
Contribute to marketing strategy and messaging, and help maintain technical accuracy of marketing messages
Educate sales and support teams on benefits of the product
Create and deliver product demos to illustrate DKP capabilities, differentiators, and benefits for practitioners
Create technical product marketing materials, including videos, white papers, presentations, web content, and more
Track KPIs and measure team results
Understand market trends, competitive analysis, customer requirements, usage and buying behavior
Lead D2iQ’s analyst relations and interactions with key industry analyst firms
Understand the partner ecosystem to help identify market opportunities
Present in webinars and other public event forums
Represent the voice of the customer in all content
5+ years of experience in product marketing and related marketing functions in the software industry, preferably with Kubernetes and open source experience
Demonstrated experience in technical product marketing, technical product management, sales engineering, or similar roles
Technical background and clear understanding of containers, Kubernetes and open source software or adjacent fields like big data, databases etc
A deep understanding of customer Kubernbetes challenges
Ability to demo the D2iQ Kubernetes Platform (DKP)
Experience supporting an Integrated GTM motion that includes sales, channel, and services partners, strategic alliances, and technology ecosystems
Track record of driving and measuring growth
Experience leading and collaborating in cross-functional teams
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills and engaging presentation style
Ability to use data to measure results and inform decision-making and strategy development
BA or BS required
MBA preferred; experience and knowledge of core business functions and tools required
